Student Support

We support students in college to make the transition from dependence to independence. Students are given more responsibility than at school with study periods and much more independent working. This is done in a supportive environment with all students allocated a Guidance Support Tutor who will help them and monitor their development throughout their time at college.

We have high expectations for our students including attendance and completing work, and regularly review their progress to ensure that they stay on track. The Study Centre provides assistance to all students with their studies and have experience in supporting students with specific learning difficulties or disabilities.

In addition we have a dedicated Careers Team who organise a variety of career events throughout the year as well as providing individual advice. Our students' wellbeing is a priority for us and we provide a college counselling service that all students can access for free.

"There is a good support structure both personally and academically.
The range of resources in departments helps so much with studying and removing stress."
