College Production

Each year the Performance Academy produces a college production. Their first production was "The Addams Family" in 2021. It was a huge success and all performances sold out, both at the YMCA theatre and at the college.

In February 2023, they performed "Machinal" in association with the University of Hull. This was a 1928 play by Sophie Treadwell which explored feminism, oppression and rebellion.

In November 2023, they are going to be doing "Everybody's Talking About Jamie". Tickets are now available through Scarborough YMCA.

Students can get involved in every aspect of the production including acting, directing, sound, lighting, make-up and props. Apply now by completing an online form.
