Special Entry Requirements
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade 4 including GCSE Maths, Science and English.
If you enjoy science, the new T Level Science is a great option to choose. You will spend 80% of your time at college and 20% on work placements. The T Level is equivalent to 3 A Levels and has been developed in collaboration with employers to ensure that the content is relevant and prepares you well for a career in the science industry.
Core modules of the course include cell cycle and cellular respiration, enzyme and protein structure, pathogens, classification of biological materials, kinetic changes and relevant analytical techniques. You will then build on these core modules and specialise in a specific area of the science industry.
The experience that you gain from industry placements is invaluable and will help you stand out from the crowd when applying for jobs in the future. Following the course you can go onto higher education, a higher apprenticeship or into employment
Assessment is made up of exams and externally assessed projects including an employer-led project.
