You will need 4 GCSEs at grade 4 including GCSE English and Maths.
The T Level in Health is a great first step to a career in the health sector. The course is equivalent to three A Levels and gives you the opportunity to gain valuable work experience whilst studying at the college.
You will undertake a 9-week minimum industry placement where you can put your learning into practice and gain a deeper understanding of the health industry.
Core elements of the course include working in the health sector, infection prevention & control, and supporting health & wellbeing, as well as core science concepts including the structure of cells, tissues and large molecules, genetics, microbiology and immunology. The course will also offer specialist modules giving a real insight into a specific area of the health sector.
Scarborough Sixth Form College was one of the first colleges in the country to be selected to offer T Levels. The Health Department at the college are extremely experienced with some having worked in industry before becoming teachers.
Assessment is made up of exams and externally assessed projects including an employer-led project.
