The units studied will provide a mix of practical and theoretical work, as well as visits and speakers, and will include:
- The Engineering Workplace locally and nationally
- Mathematics for Engineers
- Electrical and Electronic Principles
- Mechanical Principles and Applications
- Principles and Applications of Electronic Devices and Circuits
- Engineering Drawing For Technicians
- An Engineering Project
Learning is achieved through the completion of projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.
Assessment will combine written assignments and practical projects that will be based on realistic workplace situations. There are no exams.
The course directly supports entry into engineering as a career and is an excellent choice if you are considering an apprenticeship or a higher education course in engineering.
