MATHEMATICS GCSE
You will study the same material as you did at school, but the modular GCSE course splits the content into more manageable sections over 1 year. We follow the AQA Modular course, foundation tier. You will take a Number exam in November, a Data handling exam in March and a final Algebra and Geometry exam in June.
GCSE Mathematics is part of our Level 2 programme. The Level 2 course is intended to provide you with the opportunity to study something different, taking on new challenges, while building on your existing strengths. In previous years, many of our students have used the one-year programme as a stepping stone to a level 3 programme, or to find employment, and have benefited from achieving improved qualifications and greater confidence.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in the X Factor programme, or gain Sports Leadership Award, if you wish.
